Reed O'Brien is co-founder of New Era Wealth Management. His interest in finance was cultivated at LaSalle University where he graduated with a B.S. degree in 1990 with a dual major in Finance and Philosophy. During his senior year he worked closely with a professor in the Honors program on a year long project, and published a paper on warrant pricing models. After graduation he worked for Vantage Securities and earned his Series 7 license. In 1993, he returned to LaSalle University as a graduate student in their M.B.A. program. He graduated with a M.B.A. in Finance in 1995. After graduation he started a small specialty construction company. In 2003, he started with Wachovia Bank and worked through the different banking divisions ultimately landing in the Wealth Management division. Shortly after the merger of Wachovia and Wells Fargo in 2009 he moved to Clermont Wealth Management a division Fulton Financial. In 2013, he changed companies and joined Coastal Equities as an independent advisor. In 2018, he and John Frick formed New Era Wealth Management.
